A good friend of mine celebrates his birthday today, and though I don't believe he's a regular reader of this blog, I thought I'd offer some greetings in musical form. Mike and I were both fans of the Samples in younger days, and it's still nice to be reminded of the good feelings they could evoke at their best. Here's one of their very best: "Did You Ever Look So Nice," probably the closest thing they ever had to a hit. Awww. Thanks! Not only does this album hold a sentimental place in my heart, it's the perfect time of year to be cranking it loudly from your car stereo with the windows down and sunroof open as you speed recklessly up 93 to the lake. Hope to see you there soon!
