All right man. That Pointer Sisters vid is insane. I don't think I've ever seen such a big act in such an intimate setting.
KUSF deejay Irwin this morning said the exact same thing about the music. "If I were musical director, I would not have used that bad coungtry song, i would've picked this..." and he spins Pointer Sisters' "Yes We Can Can."
btw, I saw Allen Toussaint this summer at SF's Stern Grove festival. great show! He gave a talk for about an hour beforehand, which was really special to hear. What a legend this guy is...
